Mini-bioYomi ranks out as the shortest and the second youngest of the group. He is a spirited young man and tolerated being smacked in the head 3 times by an interviewer AND then by Sakito ^^;;;; He has a beautiful voice that makes people squishy.
He does especially well in lives and put out full energy to make his fans happy. He also likes talking. A lot. (^^;; He also seems to like to run around on stage barefoot.) Yomi is often compared to Dir en grey's Kyo, but let me assure you that they're nothing alike. The only thing they have in common is being short. Other than that, nothing ^^;;;;
During breaks in lives Yomi loves to interact with the fans, asking them questions and actually responding to theirs. (Yomi apparently likes his girls with a big bust and he likes them be able to cook and clean)

During their ten years-career Malice Mizer make themselves known as a unique and influential band in japanese gothic rock scene, inventing and introducing in the Visual scene original ideas both in the music/composition and in costumes image, melting baroque and neoclassical refined influences with a gothic rock base.
The 11th December 2001, Klaha, Mana, Közi and Yu~ki decided together to suspend the band activities (and put it on hiatus) to focus on their individual projects.

Also remarkable: You will virtually never hear aie playing guitar solos.

BIOGRAPHY:Deadman were founded in 2001 by mako, aie, Yukino and toki (ex- Lamiel). Before Mako, aie and Yukino played together in a band called "kein". Yukino left the band in April 2001 (now Gullet). In November Takamasa (ex- Lady) joined as new Bassist. Takamasa left the Band in April 2005, but luckly deadman found a another great Bassist "Kazuya" (ex-happysad) who joined in November 2005.
December 2005 - release of full album [in the direction of sunrise and night light]
March 2006 - Deadman announces that they will stop activity. Their last was on May 23, 2006.

PROFILEIt’s hard to define the genre to which Malice Mizer belonged. Their looks, inpired highly by the Gothic imagery, Victorian style and XIX century decadence, might fool a layman, especially if he has never heard of Visual Kei before. Also the name of the band itself is a bit tricky, but according to Mana and Gackt the words
‘malice’ and ‘misery’ are the best answer to the basic question ‘What is human?’, which was the foundation of the band’s concepts. One could expect Malice Mizer to create loud or heavy music, but their discography is in fact a quite peculiar mix of rock, pop, metal, classical music, electronic sounds and whatever else you might think of. Their style changed over the years but sometimes even the songs from one album sound as if recorded by completely different bands. And even though they set new trends in fashion (Mana is said to be one of the creators of the Gothic Lolita style) their music stays unique as noone can copy their sound.
Recommendations
For the love of god, stay away from the stuff with Tetsu vocals! I prefer the Gackt-era Malice Mizer and Klaha, and I would definitely recommend getting your hands on the stuff off of Merveilles. Klaha's also a good vocalist, so you may want to try some of the singles he was involved with, such as Gardenia, Garnet, and Beast of Blood

La:sadies, that had disbanded in January the recent year since the bass player/leader
Kisaki (PHANTASMAGORIA)left the band, decided to start a new band together with the newfound bass player Toshiya. The first album the band released was Missa, a minialbum with six songs reminding about the indiestyle that had been characterized for
La:sadie’s. The former
X Japan member Yoshiki produced the first fullength album Gauze that was released in 1998. Significant for Gauze was the special sound that the band had begun to develop. After the release of Gauze they got out on a tour, and touring has been something very important for the band thereafter and each fullength album has been followed by an official tour.

Kaoru is the stoic, "leader-san" of the group, a lean, poker-faced figure with the grace and swagger of a stalking panther. He rarely smiles -- though when he does, it's a lovely sight! -- and was the one member of the group who scared all the others the first time they met him. Imagine, even Kyo was scared of him.
Kaoru was born in Hyougo, Aquarius if you believe in astrology, and is the one known to keep Dir en grey in order. They say whenever there is differences in making decisions it's always Kaoru who keeps things under control and has the final say. He is the guitarist and main song writer for the group, and writes some wonderfully diverse music, from the ghostly haunting melodies of mazohyst of decadence and MACABRE to the manicness of Zan and Berry, to the sweetly sorrowful Akuro no Oka. He can also produce some of the most amazing sounds from a guitar.
He is sparing (compared to the rest of the group, that is) when it comes to makeup, though he is always sure to accent two of his loveliest features, his eyes and lips. And he has no need to accentuate his cheekbones, for they're amazing enough to begin with! His hair tends to go through various shades of blue to purple and thereabouts, and is currently black. His clothes are a little more downstated than the rest of the members, but he holds more of an elegance in simplicity; long, lean lines of leather and pvc, tight corsetry, unusually layered skirts and buckled shirts, and almost always he is dressed in black.
I love the arrogance in his saunter, and the serious way he stares down the camera. He gets into his music with such vivid intensity,from his solidly planted feet while he sways madly during a guitar solo, to the wild way in which he headbangs. And he has a sweet, childlike side that he shows sometimes, too; his smiles of pure enjoyment, how he skips across a stage like a little boy, or how he plays with Kyo or Die.

Kyo was born in Kyoto, Aquarius if you believe in astrology, and is known to enjoy lying during interviews, which means you can never really be sure that what he said has an ounce of truth in it. Kyo is not his real name, but he hates his own and decided to change it, choosing the Kyo from his birthplace Kyoto. He has a powerful, throaty voice that he can do an amazing number of things with, and writes all the lyrics for Dir en grey's songs. He's been known to say that he will never write a happy ending in a song.

Die is the easy-going member of the group, the joker, and one at odds with many things. he is always extreme in whatever he may be doing, and his supposedly 'nasty' looks can be very misleading.
Die was born in Mie, Sagittarius if you believe in astrology, and is straightforward, talkative, and able to joke and make the others laugh at anytime. He is said to be kind and gentle, though he tends to disagree. He likes to tease the others, particularly Shinya, who seems to be the easiest to tease. Die is guitarist and sometime songwriter for the group, having written the music for one of my favourite tracks, the mournful 304 goushitsu, Hakushi no Sakura, as well as the more upbeat Yokan, the hard and powerful Schwein no Isu and Children, and the lively Wake and Audrey.

Shinya was born in Osaka, Pisces if you believe in astrology, and is the the most difficult member of Dir en grey to really learn anything about. He is constantly quiet, much more unlikely to answer questions, and never really volunteers any information about himself. ) But of them all he is said to be the strongest and most willful. He is Dir en grey's drummer, and also has tried his hand at songwriting, having written the music for Toriko, Yurameki and Hotarubi. His music, young and fresh, shows his natural talent, and is improving with time; it will surely continue to do so.
He's the best member of the group techincally.

X JAPAN
PROFILEX was the first Visual Kei band to perform in Tokyo Dome three nights in a row when every single ticket had been sold. Before, Buck Tick had held the record, though they were only sold out for one performance in Tokyo Dome.
The idea behind the band was, basically, to do anything which would shock the audience. At the time, their motto was
"Psychedelic Violence - Crime of Visual Shock." This means that X Japan are seen as the forefathers of Visual Kei, although before them there were bands which pursued a similar concept. However, none of these bands could live up to the success of X Japan.
The band began with the music style of pure heavy metal, very typical of the 1980s! On the other hand, the band also played a lot of ballads. Most of these ballads were very piano-heavy, and played by the drummer/pianist Yoshiki. It was one of these ballads which eventually caused X Japan's breakthrough as one of the most famous bands in Japanese music - Art of Life, which is 28 minutes and 59 seconds long.
Over the years, the band's style changed, diverting away from Visual Kei. X Japan's music became much more varied, and with that Yoshiki's true talents shone through much more easily.

BIOGRAPHYIt was way back in 1980 that Yoshiki and Toshi (two childhood friends) formed a band known as Noise. Two years later, they changed their name to X and began their ascension into rock history. They began by performing at clubs and such with the help of random musicians, gathering quite the underground following in the process. They eventually had tracks on certain rock compilations, which only helped to expand their already-growing fan base. In 1987, they recruited hide, Pata and Taiji to complete their line-up and make it official.
The boys were a crowd favorite, but still couldn’t find a record label interested in their music. Believing in her son’s abilities, Yoshiki’s mom sold the family business and gave him the money. He created Extasy Records and released Vanishing Vision, X’s first official album. It made a large impact on the metal scene, but failed to grab Japan’s attention. “Violent” music wasn’t what the country wanted to hear. However, the metal heads were so into it that Sony Records Japan took notice and gave the quintet a record deal.

PROFILELoudness are the pioneers and mainstays of Japanese metal. Internationally, they are the most recognized Japanese rock band, having toured every major continent since the beginning of their career. Their early material is standard 80s rock/metal, but lately they’ve opted for a more aggressive sound.
The band’s line-up changed often during the height of their success, even incorporating American vocalist Mike Vescera and Taiji of X-Japan fame. However, the band returned to its original line-up in 2000.

BIOGRAPHYLoudness was created in May 1981, comprised of drummer Munetaka Higuchi and guitarist Akira Takasaki (both ex-Lazy), vocalist Minoru Niihara (ex-Earthshaker) and bassist Masayoshi Yamashita.
Seeing as ¾ of the band were experienced musicians, the band went directly into studios and released their debut album, The Birthday Eve, in November 1981. This album created Japanese rock history as being the first “true” heavy metal album released in the Land of the Rising Sun, courtesy of Takasaki’s shredding and Niihara’s relentless vocals.
